So many reasons to go vegan
Being vegan is not just about animal cruelty. It’s such a deep topic that you can write a whole book about it. And that’s exactly what Nutriciously is all about.
What I love about their guides is that they cover every argument for being vegan and back it up with scientific evidence.
They give you an in-depth understanding of what’s behind veganism before you even get into anything. So you can make an informed decision and know why it will benefit you.
My own reasons
For me being vegan is about keeping our planet and our people safe. The animal agriculture industry just isn’t sustainable.
So, I’ve been thinking of going vegan for a while. I just wasn’t quite sure if I could pull it off successfully. The uncertainty is what held me back.
But when I was researching products for my vegan gift guide (the blogger life ya know), I came across Nutriciously’s vegan guides. I was really impressed with them.
So, I took the opportunity and they agreed to let me review their guides. This was my chance to successfully be vegan.
Side note: I didn’t get paid to review their ebooks, but I did receive the books for free to be able to review them.
How the guide helped me
There are two guides. The Vegan Starter Kit and the Sustainable Weight loss System. I chose the Start Kit first because at that time I wasn’t looking to lose weight, only to transition into a vegan diet.
But as the 2020 blues hit I used the Weight Loss System to get back on track with my nutrition. I loved them both and still use their delicious recipes every day.
I read through the whole guide before I started my first week and I was really surprised at the volume of information in the guide. They answered questions I didn’t even know I had.
And there’s a meal plan, grocery list and recipes, which really helped me figure out what to eat since I was clueless. It was delicious.
The best part of the guide for me was the meal plan. Each day is worked out to include all of the nutrients that your body needs.
The meal plan is put together in such a way that you can prep your meals which saves a lot of time. It also uses a lot of the same ingredients and you can use your leftovers in the next day’s meals.
The meal plan is a great guide for total beginners, like me, because it shows you how to eat to get the most nutrition out of your meals.
It saves time and money because you can reuse ingredients and there is almost no food waste.
I also really love the recipes. They’re flavourful, healthy and makes being vegan a complete joy.

I really put the guide to the test too, as I wasn’t going to be home that week. I used all their advice on how to eat vegan when you’re with family and at restaurants too.
How the guide can help you
The Vegan Starter Kit is for a large variety of people. From athletes, expecting mothers, kids and people with food allergies, whatever your needs.
Their FAQ section can answer almost all of your questions. If you’re worried about how you’re going to tell your family there’s a section on that too.
The guide explains everything you need to know about getting proper nutrition and how to put together your own meals.
Whether you’re brand new at this or been vegan for years, it can help you learn more about what your body needs and successfully be vegan.
And with their meal plan, you don’t have to worry about not having time to cook, spending hours finding recipes that are actually edible or having to spend a fortune on groceries.
The guide makes it super easy to shop affordably, save time with cooking and eat delicious, healthy food.
What happened the first week
Grocery shopping was a breeze thanks to the printable grocery list that comes with the guide. The first two days went by perfectly, it was great.
When I left home I had a few slip-ups with some sweets but nothing major. It was actually fine because the guide has a few ways that you can transition into a plant-based lifestyle including first being vegetarian.
I did get bloated from all the fibre that I wasn’t used to but it went away when I cut back a little. The guide is really flexible and I was able to adapt it according to my body’s needs.
By the next Monday, I had gone a whole week without meat or dairy. It felt pretty great.
The verdict
After a week of being vegan and using the Vegan Starter Kit to help me get the proper nutrition from my diet, I’m feeling confident that I will be able to keep it up.
With the help of the guide, I know that I can successfully be vegan. Especially with the meal plan to keep guiding me along.
I would recommend this guide to anyone who wants to be vegan but doesn’t know how to do it properly. Or even someone who is vegan but is struggling with their nutrition.
I believe The Vegan Starter Kit can help you get on top of your health and conquer this thing. And if weight loss is your goal, the Sustainable Weight loss System is there for you.
